Rainbow Smudge Catcher, How to catch smudge ash
DIY Make Time: 30-40 minutes
Make this cute smudge catcher with rainbow beads to make sage smudging easier & fun! You probably use an abalone shell or a special bowl to smudge. But after staining our carpet with ash my husband came up with this ingenious idea to use a mesh strainer.
Using a mesh strainer also creates better air flow so you can create lots of purifying smoke. Make sure your mesh strainer is made with stainless steel so it’s heat resistant. We use a torch lighter to burn the sage, so we don’t accidentally burn our fingers.
To disguise it as a smudge tool (instead of a kitchen tool) wrap suede or leather around the handle and line with beads. Add a tassel, feathers, shells or a talisman at the end of the handle for a ceremonial look.
